a few questions about 2012?
so not many believe in it. i dont want to believe it but idk i mean they are making movies and survival kits and SHIPS and guides like go to ihc.com their way of saving the human race sounds a little bit like that disney movie zenon. if they didnt have any evidence why would they be wasting all this money i really dont know and what are they planning to make the 10 million people on the ship to repopulate earth after everything is settled im so f****ing confused
ok but i mean are they really planning to send people to live in floating cities just for the fun of it or are they just saying they will do that and on the day just not respond to anyone?

The movie "2012" is based on a hoax that was prepared over ten years ago.
[A hoax is a lie, told by people who know that it is a lie, just for the purpose of fooling other people]
Planet X was invented for the end-of-the-world hoax of 2003. In that hoax, the rogue planet was going to pass too close to Earth in May-June 2003 and cause all kinds of problems (including a global tsunami).
In the original hoax, the charlatans pretended to be in contact with aliens who were going to try and save part of the population in their spacecraft. How do you get your name on the rescue list? By sending an appropriate donation to the people who knew the aliens, of course.
After June 2003, the ploy was not working so well, so they recycled the hoax for 2012. Along with other lies (invented by other people) and new lies added to the pile, they created the Big 2012 Hoax.
It became so popular that Hollywood decided to make a movie out of it. Since film-makers need an established story (one that is written down from start to finish), they decided to use the 2003 hoax. They added the Mayan calendar lie to justify the title.
In the movie, the Institute for Human Continuity was invented to be responsible for the rescue list. You get your name on the list by winning a global lottery organized by the IHC.
Like all Hollywood end-of-the-world movies, it is NOT true. In fact, they are all pretty difficult to believe for anyone who understands how the world works.
"They" are not planning anything except to take your money. The film-makers will take your money at the box office when you go see the movie. The hoaxers will take your money when you buy their books and videos, or when you rent (or buy) a survival kit from them.
In the second case, the money will be totally wasted. In the first case (seeing the movie), if you enjoy that kind of movie, then it will not be totally wasted.
However, the biggest scam might be the price of popcorn.

That is what they will do.
They (the hoaxers) will do even worst (as they have already done before). They will pretend that they have made a small mistake and that it will really be in 2014.
Then in 2017.
Then on September 20, 2020 (they are probably already working on that one, because that will be another "magical" date).
