IS it good to lift your arms every day?
Ok, I just started lifting weights AGAIN a month ago. I'm 18 and I was wondering, is it ok to lift your ARMS daily?
I heard you should lift every other day, but I'm talking specifically ARMS, not chest, legs, shoulders or back.
Is this good? Or is it bad for my muscles?
When you lift you should be concentrating on exercising so that you are sore the next day. If you aren't sore you didn't get a good workout. When you are sore you want to give your muscles time to heal before you lift again, or you can actually be overtraining and lose any gains you achieved. This is because when you lift you are causing micro-tears in the muscle fibers. When they heal the tears fill in, causing your muscles to grow. If you don't let them heal the muscles will never grow.
So for a rule of thumb, if you are sore give it time until you are completely not sore at all before lifting again. This goes for all muscles including the ones in your arms.
