Manifold Elbow
Manifold Elbow

In this article we're going to take a quick look at whether you can really build your own hydro fuel cell to power your car on water. With the gloom and doom surrounding the current global economy, it is indeed timely to search for ways to cut back on your fuel costs. If you're anxious to save more money on your monthly gas bills, then read this article now.
If you're anything like many folks I know, the hydro fuel cell is something new to you. Fret not...I'm going to give you a quick run down. Basically a hydro fuel cell is a device that leverage the chemical process known as electrolysis to break down ordinary water to form a gas called Hybrid Hydrogen Oxygen, or HHO for short.
This gas is then injected through the car's intake manifold (or air intake) into the internal combustion engine to supplement gasoline. As HHO gas is 3 times more potent than your regular gasoline, the result is a highly efficient fuel mix that burns completely...and cleanly too.
So what does this mean for you. Simple. A more efficient fuel combustion means you get more miles per gallon of gas. And here's the ugly truth...Do know you the cars you and I drive burn ONLY 20% of the gasoline we put in? That's an industrial fact. A huge 80% are WASTED as heat and emissions that pollute our environment. It's little wonder that the hydro fuel cell is quickly gaining popularity in the realm of alternative fuel methods.
The beauty of this homemade device is that it can boost your fuel efficiency by at least 50%. How much you save, of course, also depends on your vehicle type and the traveling conditions.
If you're looking to buy a hydro fuel cell from your regular auto parts store, you're not likely to find one as these are currently not made for commercial consumption. BUT, if you're a handy man and loves tinkering things around the house...I've good news. With a little bit of time and some elbow grease, you can assemble and install this gas saver right in your own backyard.
If you need a little help, there are lots of excellent manuals available on the Internet that you can download cheaply. One particular manual that I'm using provides step-by-step instructions, fully illustrated. Many of my neighbors with no technical expertise were able to build their own hydro fuel cells with one of these guides. Best of all, you'll be glad to know you don't need to modify your car engine at all to get this fitted. The entire system can be mounted easily under your car hood.
What about the parts and materials? You can easily get them from your local hardware store, or even find them lying around your home or garage.
With the economy now in the doldrums, why not learn how to build your own hydro fuel cell and save on your gas bills? Like many folks I know, you'll be glad you did!
Want to build your own hydro fuel cell but don't know where to start?
Fret not! Many people just like you have successfully built one on their own to run their cars on water. They are already shaving $1000s off their gas bills. 2006 ford Taurus SE OBDII codes: P0171, P0174 where is the MAF located?
Here are the common problems:
leak between the MAF and the throttle body;
leak in the PCV system, especially the hose elbow;
leaking intake manifold gaskets;
any other vacuum leak;
"lazy" oxygen sensors (the front ones).
Is this what these's code's mean?
Thanks

You need to check the tube from the air filter to the intake. Take it apart, clean the mafs, you see it in the tube it looks like a tiny little wire, buy some mafs cleaner at the auto store. Spray it on there... from a distance, you dont want to break it.
then put it all back together make sure there are no leaks.
After that get youself some soapy water.. lots of soap. at the back of the engine behind the intake you'll see vacuum line coming out, there is a little elbow that connect two lines at a 90 degree angle. it is made of rubber. Over time this will rot out and crack. with the engine running rubb some soapy water on it, you'll see if it's leaking because it will foam up.
it could be somewhere else... but those stupid rubber elbow are usually the culprits.
I'd say check those two things.... one of them is probably your problem.
