Classification of the ball valve
It is pleasant to see that the valves with a great range have been widely used in various fields, either in the industrial process or in our daily life. Ball valve, as a specified kind, has been popular affecting as an important role in controlling the inside flow. In order to achieve the various specifications, there are several types of the ball valve with specialties. And it is certain that there exist different classifications due to different terms. Now, in terms of the structure, there are three main types of the ball valve available.
The first type is called the floating ball valve which refers to the valve with a floating valve body. Under the pressure from the medium, the valve body is forced to press tightly to the sealing face of the exit end, reaching the function of ensuring the tightness. As it has been described, this type of the ball valve is with simple structure and easy operation. But it should be made sure that the sealing face is able to withstand the pressure passed from the medium. Otherwise, all efforts would be in vain. Thus, it is necessary to adopt the suitable material for the sealing face. Commonly, it is widely used in conditions with low or medium pressure.
The second type is called the fixed ball valve. It is different from the floating ball valve as the valve body of this type is fixed. Instead, the movable part is the valve seat. The received pressure would lead the valve seat to move. Then, the sealing face would be compressed to the valve body, reaching the requirements of the tightness. Generally speaking, it is applicable for conditions with much higher pressure and much bigger diameter resulting from the ball bearings in the shafts of the valve body.
The last type is called elastic ball valve which is applicable for the inside medium with high pressure and temperature. It means that the valve body of this type is elastic. Or it can be said that the sealing can be only reached by the external force. The external force is needed indeed because the pressure from the medium would not be able to ensure the tightness, as the material for the valve body and the sealing face is commonly the metal. The elasticity is gotten by the gap below the inside surface of the valve body. During the working, the valve stem plays an important role. For example, when the channel is closed, the valve stem with the wedge-shaped head compresses the valve body to the valve seat tightly.
Above all, it is obvious to see that the major difference locates in the difference of the valve body. Actually, there are many trials to optimize the operating of each type. Definitely, they are continuing to bring benefits either to the industrial process or to the daily life.

Internet Marketing, Hollywood and Missed Opportunities
Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are without question two of the world's biggest box office draws. They have massive studio support in an age where studio productions are slowing down, and they continue to demand among the highest salaries in all of Hollywood. While the quality of the film is certainly something that can be debated, the advertising support did seem to be in place. All of the standard points of contact including, television, radio and print were addressed. The stars made themselves available for interviews and could be seen flashing warm smiles to the relentless paparazzi in the tabloids. With two of the world's biggest mega-stars and seemingly all of their marketing bases covered, the movie seemed poised to make the studio a tidy profit. Despite this financial and professional support and backing, their movie ‘Knight and Day' had a miserable opening weekend at the box office and is now quickly falling off the charts. In this second and final part of this article we will examine some of the ways in which the marketing group behind the film ‘Knight and Day' could have reached an even wider audience through the use of Internet Marketing in general, and Search Engine Marketing in particular.
Perhaps the studios are too preoccupied with learning the new technology to use the new technology. Going a bit further, it may be the case that the executives of 20th Century Fox believe that traditional advertising for a summer blockbuster can only be achieved by using the tried and proven methods of traditional media. It could also be the case that the heads of the studio believes spending millions during a recession on television ads is a more practical use of their dollars than targeted online marketing. Obviously the United States' recession has hit everything from major car companies to local mom and pop shops. The movie industry has faced the same difficulties in its industry. Movies are down, commercials for movies are up, and that's never a good sign.
The fact is that despite how effective traditional media has proven to be, online tactics such as Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and PPC ads should have been implemented. Googling major keywords such as Tom Cruise or Cameron Diaz or ‘Knight and Day' should have resulted in targeted ads that linked to ticket purchasing sites, movie trailers and the official website for the film. Similarly, a YouTube search for the two star's names should be turning up the trailer for the film as well as promotional materials. Even paying for key ads of competitive or past similar hits such as Mr. and Mrs. Smith could have yielded some result and certainly would have been better than nothing.
Internet marketing is not a new way of doing business, it has been around since the days of 56k modems, and the internet was leveraged as far back as the days of the original Blair Witch Project film. Granted, not every movie lends itself to an online presence and grassroots movement in the manner in which that film did, but to leave so much on the table in the digital space seems careless at least and downright foolish at worst. The stars of the film are two of the world's brightest, but both have seen uneven box office returns for their last few films. The marketing efforts were in place, but were either lacking or poorly executed. In an age where most major Hollywood releases have budgets well over one hundred million dollars (with accompanying marketing budgets that typically come close to matching those production budgets), there must be efforts made to not only deliver marketing materials through all available channels, but to do so in effective, innovative and public involving ways. The days of sending the stars onto talk shows that are rapidly losing viewers, having them wave to the stalking paparazzi in an effort to have their smiling faces turn up in the tabloids, and relying on television commercials – are all in the past. Today's digital landscape and tech savvy audiences demand more, and the failure of Knight and Day to attract an audience may finally help that reality sink into the minds of the decision makers who dropped the ball on the marketing of this film.

have done a fuel pressure check , it comes in at 50# with just key on , when cranking come in at 56-58# ???, have to turn key on , off several times before it will start .
The first guy is right sounds like a leaking intake. Also though I have a 97 Z71 before start mine puts out 60 psi at idle it puts out 65psi wide open throttle 75 psi. Which it is a racing fuel pump.

Before computers made smart people think they did not need common sense, how did an engineer determine how much counterweight to add to the rotating engine parts to balance the engine to minimize vibrations? Could you direct me to a good book on the subject? I want to build a full size steam engine.
Let me clarify I want to build a stationary steam engine not a locomotive.
Engineers learned by calculation and trial and error how to counterbalance the drive cranks. A well-balanced engine would run more smoothly and exert less wear-and-tear on the rails.
A good book on the subject is 'The Concise Enyclopaedia of World Railway Locomotives' Ed. P.Ransome-Wallis, Hutchinson, 1959. It goes into a lot of detail about the engineering of all types of locomotives. It's out of print now but it's still possible to pick up a second hand copy.
Btw are you serious about building a full-sized engine? The recently -completed 'Tornado' locomotive took a team of engineers 15 years and cost £3million. You could build a miniature engine for far less.
