Does anyone know if the Allis Chalmers Grader model AD-3 was a positive ground electrical system?
Dunno - but if you get it wrong the ammeter will show a discharge when it is supposed to be charging and vice versa - providing the rest of the wiring hasn't had the fingerpokers at it.

How to build a fire with the method Bow Drill Fire
In assessing the construction of a fire in the forests of the tactics of first come to mind is the method of drilling Arc of Fire. No matter that the case study or studies on this system will most likely exhausted and leave absolutely nothing to show for their efforts. Here are some tips to activate the fire control system of the arc at the moment.
Practice before getting in way
Like most valuable experiences of survival, it takes practice. Take time and practice before leaving. Use supplies only the bow and string or experiment with many varieties of wood. Challenge your self with the limits of the invention. The more you practice and realize that things that have difficulties with much better you'll be ready to start a fire in a real survival situation.
Choose a Fireboard
The fireboard should not be thicker than 3 / 4 inches. Flatten and the upper face, sides and bottom. Burning Tree and in the FireBoard before cutting the notch. The edge with the shaft hole in the fireboard on a 1 / 4 inch from edge with fireboard. The cut must be sufficiently Solid to collect coal dust and for allowing air to reach the coal, but not so big that the tree goes in the hole in the slot.
The preparation of its axis
Pins vary in lot size from one inch in diameter to the thickness of your little finger. Usually, by far the more powerful thanks to the axis the thickness of a thumb.
Point of criticism: If you are on the track with little power or resistance, you'd better make use of a small pin. This can certainly apply more pressure on the surface with the fireboard and producing heat much faster. On the other hand, a larger diameter pin meet a coal.
The tree must be very strong finish in the handle, rounded at the end of fireboard. The best length of the head is just the tip of the thumb to the tip of a finger when the fingers are extended. Its axis must be very simple and costs of scale and smooth.
Warning: They tend not to touch the finish line
Some FireBoard pin finishing careful not to touch your skin for this purpose, such as oils will be the cause of his physical and the tree fireboard dust and varnish can not be done. You can say that can be painted if you get a shiny appearance or scream like a turkey call. When this happens, scrape the brightness of the axis and Fireboard hole, or just add some sand into the hole and continue with a bow.
Decide on wood
When deciding on the tree, dig the nail into the wood. If you leave a gap, you can possibly start a fire with it. A harder wood is much better in climates wet, and can be tilted to achieve well and let the unit heat of moisture in the wood. Do not use green wood.
Find the right arc
For services ideals that arc along the arm to the wrist with a curve rather than the chain was forward when strung. The chain wants to be tightened properly, when the string is wrapped around the tree when the tree is released, it will come out with the chain, but not so much that is stuck in the tree, creating mountain ranges.
Several points can be used for the chain, consider the different materials. Experience with organic fiber cords or thongs? Use your imagination. When the duration of the rope with your fingers are like a bow, and pull to tighten if necessary.
Place either tinder a small package or perhaps a sheet in the slot for coal, on which to build. When the chain is wrapped around the axle, the chain must be between the axis of the arc.
The smoke, fire
Start slowly, keeping the level of the arc, adding more pressure and speed. To use the entire length of the arc. As it begins to generate progress, noting that at this point does not mean that coal smoke is ready. Immediately after you can own a coal, maintaining a reverence for about 20 times or right until it is no longer possible move your bow arm. When the smoke still rising more than a few seconds, just after it stops, there is coal.
Tinder and the addition of air
Immediately after you have a coal, remove the tree and blow gently to bring it to life. Do not rush not, in all dimensions, coal can last 15 minutes on it? s own. At this point, the requirements of two points: the tinder and air. Keep the packaging the sky and breathe slowly until it finally bursts into flames.
Now you can have all the knowledge needed to turn a fire using the bow drill fire technique on the road. Note to practice in advance for your best chance of results. Good luck to him and pat on the back for to be much better prepared for the survival of most people

I need the hub assy, that goes on the disc and it is a15 drop
I farm. You can try used. They may have new. Or they can do a search for you. Have your serial no. for the drill to make sure you get the right part. Heres one site that I have used it has links to parts suppliers. www.lorenzomfg.com/parts.html
There is a link there for Double D parts I've used them a couple of times for my 1570 case.

Owners Operators Tractor

Does anyone know of a trucking company that will hire a recent grad with felonies from 8 years ago?
I graduated Alliance Tractor Trailer with a 97% average. I graduated with my Class A CDL, with my doubles/triples & tanker endorsements. I just can't seem to get started because I have felony convictions from 8 years ago. It's like no one will give you a chance once you mess up one time in your life, regardless of what you do to better yourself. Everyone keeps telling me to find an Owner Operator to get started, so I can get some experience. How do I go about finding Owner Operators?!? If anyone knows of any other trucking company that will give me a chance, please let me know. I have had the dream of driving a truck since I was 6 years old. Please help me...
It is not the Trucking companies that are holding your Felonies against you it is their customers and the Federal Government's regulations. That said an Owner Operator will probably be even tougher because Their Insurance carrier will require that they hire drivers with at least 1 year experience.I would suggest you find a local job hauling gravel , concrete or garbage.Or a local farmer who needs a driver to deliver hay or grain I realize it is not what you are looking for but we all had to start somewhere. Think along these lines and apply them to your region. Once you have some experience it will be easier to find a job that better suites you. Good luck
