The Ford Motor Company: a Lifetime of Classic Cars
What started out as a simple ingenious way of putting things together became a great well of classic cars. The Ford Motor Company started out as a small group of three people working together to form a few simple cars. Each person would work on a different component, thus making the process much quicker. And when this style of work grew onto large scales, it defined how car creation would be.
Ford is undeniably a legendary creator of classic cars. Here we will take a look at some of the great defining vintage cars that this company has made.
The Model T
Made in 1908, this car made all those horse-powered carriages become a simple tourist novelty. The Model T heralded the real start of popular automobile usage. Its success came with the fact that it was affordable. Ford's assembly-line way of production paid off. It was so popular that it was in fact considered to be the world's best selling car design before the Volkswagen Beetle dominated the race--which was almost 60 years after!
The Model A
Ford had it strange with the alphabet. After Model T, the next fashionable car that Ford has introduced was the Model A in 1927. It was a simple and elegant car, but with additions that would define what a car would be for years. Take for example the four-wheel mechanical brakes, as well as the hydraulic shock absorbers. It had a starting price of around $300-$400. And now, a not-so-restored Model A roadster sells for $20,000 at the least. How's that for a classic car value.
The Model B
The Model B could not have made it to this list of classic cars because it looked so much like the Model A. But it carried a very important artifact--the V8 engine. Yes, Ford Motor Companies created this monster of an engine, and they put it in one of their signature cars. The V8 engine also defined how a car's performance should be: powerful, speedy, but affordable.
The Fairlane
Jump to 15 years after the Model B and the V8, and we have the first set of big cars. The Fairlane would start the trend of hood-and-trunk cars, with a classy look to boot. The Fairlane was in fact, the car for the '50s and '60s that it has permeated into the milkshake culture of that era.
The Thunderbird
The T-bird is also one of the defining cars that Ford has made. It is literally a sports car available for normal people, and which could be driven safely on the road. The Thunderbird is really a beauty, demand on the classic car market for first to third generation ones reached great proportions.
The Mustang
The Mustang is another trendsetter. Large muscle cars abound in the 60s, but Ford is not a company that conforms. The Mustang was the first of the 'pony' cars, with the long hood and short deck make. This car was so sweet and sexy that it was given a starring role as Mr. Bond's car in Goldfinger.
Aside from these cars, Ford provided us with quality trucks, buses, and even tractors. Though they may not be collectible, Ford Motor Company's versatility showed through these utility vehicles. Still, what defines Ford is its ability to set a trend in automobile making, be it an affordable car, a high-performance engine, or new designs. And this trendsetting ability is what makes Ford's vehicles valuable classic cars.

Ride-On Toys Review
Young children absolutely love ride-on toys. As soon as they're able to master the coordination required to make them go via foot to floor power, to pedal them, or to negotiate the steering and foot pedal on battery powered ride on toys, they're off and running - err, driving, that is.
They can't get enough of them. Ride-on toys are like a ticket to independence for toddlers, and since many also look like or mimic the vehicles adults drives, they love to pretend they're "driving" just like mom and dad.
Floor to Foot Power - There are such a variety of ride-on toys these days that it can be hard to decide what to choose. Certainly, for very young children, like toddlers, a foot to floor ride-on toy is the best option. Toddlers can have a car all their own and become mobile via their own foot to floor power, so you don't have to worry they'll go too fast or injure themselves. There are blue foot to floor ride-on cars for boys, pink for girls, and even princess cars and ambulances, but my personal favorite is the adorable airplane. There are even foot to floor ride-on toys that look like a mouse, a dump truck, and a hummer.
Pedal Power - As the child becomes more coordinated and learns to pedal, three wheel ride-on toys like traditional tricycles or Big Wheels are the perfect next step. But there are lots more pedal ride-on options, as well - airplanes, red and green tractors, forklifts, construction loaders, tractors with front loaders, dump trucks, front loaders, and even farm tractors with trailers to haul dolls or blocks or dirt or whatever suits their fancy at the time. There are also some very stylin' pedal automobiles - like the Mercedes, red Ferrari, and red BMW convertible and an entire line of sports team themed pedal cars.
My personal favorites in this line are the vintage look car pedal toys. The ?65 Ford Mustang in dark blue or bright red; the ?65 Ford Shelby GT-350; the 1932 Ford Roadster - either in pink, red, or in black with flames; and the 1932 tow truck, fire truck, or police car all look incredible, and any parent who is a fan of vintage cars or antiques will want one of these for their child. Of the entire line, the American Retro Limited Edition Burgundy Roadster impressed me the most with its appearance.
Battery Operated - And finally, after a child has reached 3 years of age, you may want to consider a battery powered ride-on toy. It's important, however, that these in particular be operated only with adult supervision and that your child has the skills necessary to comprehend the effects of moving the steering wheel a particular way and the stop and go foot pedal mechanism before you let them get on one of these. Chances are, if your child has had one of the pedal versions, he or she will have a good grasp of steering already and then you just need to explain the foot pedal.
The variety of battery operated ride-on toys is just as extensive as the pedal powered ride-ons. You can choose from many styles of cars, trucks, motorcycle, crotch rockets, ATVs, go karts, Jeeps, race cars, and dune buggies. There are modern sports cars - like the Jaguar, Ferrari, Porsche, and many more - as well as a classic car and even a baby "bug" (i.e., Volkswagen Beatle).
Obviously, the battery operated models are also going to be the most expensive, but if you watch for sales, you can save a bit on these, too. If you're looking for one really great gift for your child this year, a ride-on toy makes a fabulous birthday or Christmas present he or she will never forget!

How much is a four year old, used tractor worth?
Ok. Its a kabota. Medium sized??? I guess. I know there are smaller and bigger ones. But it's in a pretty good condition. It also has five implements that go with it.
Find a bank who finances tractors and ask them what the loan value is on the tractor. You can also call a kabota dealer. make sure you have the model number, number of hours on the motor and accesories on the tractor.

I'm looking to buy a tractor. What does the "ratio" mean in the description of used tractors and what's best?
I speak of a tractor part of a tractor-trailer combo such as a peterbilt model 379-127 etc. Sample ratios are "4.10", "2.79", "3.55" etc.
That is the gear ratio of the rear ends. Also called the final drive ratio. It means that for every 4.10 revolutions of the driveshaft the rear wheel turns 1 revolution.
