It is the 2.0 zetec engine and i need to know where the ignition coil is so i can hook up a tachometer i'm about to buy. i don't have a manual and i'm only familiar with tractors and diesel engines. links to pics or videos would be great.

Since your car has a distributor-less ignition, the spark plug wires connect directly to the coil pack. Basically 2 coils combined in one unit, that operate 2 cylinders each. Center terminal provides feed to both, and side terminals control each coil. My guess would be you would want to tie into the wire to the center terminal for the Tach, but you should check with the manufacturer for that and whether it's compatible with this type of coil first, just to be on the safe side.
